 The Game of Adetokunbo

Many immigrants change their ethnic names under the pressure to fit in and assimilate to new places. In doing so, we lose a part of our identities from the cultures that makes us, us.

So we created The Game of Adetokunbo, a game of horse with a cultural twist between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Hasan Minhaj. Both immigrants who are no strangers to having their names butchered, to talk about their cross-cultural experiences and the importance to celebrating all of our names and the cultures they come from.

This work reinforced the message of WhatsApp’s brand platform There’s No One Like Us—a rallying cry for cross-cultural communities around the world celebrating duality of cultures.
